Back to Joplin

Well, we took our niece home Friday and miss having her here already. Chris comes home for lunch everyday, but it was fun having someone to share the rest of my days with.

I saw my sister that lives in Ohio this weekend. We live so far apart that we don't get to see each other nearly enough. She brought lots of gifts for Abe. We're hoping she will get to come here in November and meet him soon after he is born. I actually got to see all three of my sisters during one trip which rarely happens!

Trip to the Zoo

We recently purchased a family membership to the Little Rock Zoo and plan on going much more often from now on. One of the benefits of the plan is free or discounted admission to other zoos across the country. Fortunately, there are several great zoos within just a few hours of Little Rock. The Memphis, St. Louis, KC, Tulsa, OKC, and Dallas zoos to name a few. Most offer of these actually offer free admission.

A minor rant: We usually go in the afternoons only to find many animals like the Elephants and Rhinos inside their shelters being fed for hours at a time. The zoo entrance closes at 4:00 and since they insist on closing so early year round, we wish they'd feed the animals after they close to the public. I guess we need to start going earlier in the morning.

Here's a few photos from our latest trip to the zoo a couple of days ago. Although it was very hot, the hottest day of the year up to that point, we still had a really great time. Somehow Chris always manages to escape being photographed!

A Night to Remember

We had to the pleasure of meeting Pastor Steven Anderson tonight. He treated us to dinner (much to Chris' frustration...we had planned otherwise). The highlight of the evening was his presentation of the Gospel to our niece. Now she's heavenbound for sure! Hallelujah!

Also, two baptisms too place. Chris had never been baptized. I had been baptized, but before I was sure I was saved. Pastor Anderson offered to baptize us where else, but the Arkansas River!

Pastor Anderson also brought us an adorable sling made by his wife, Zsuzsanna. Now I have a two slings and a baby doll to practice with. Pictures to come soon. =)

We'd like to give a huge thanks to The Andersons!

Busy Bee

I have been pretty busy since we got back in town last week. My seven-year-old niece came home with us for a visit and she'll be staying until the 25th. =) We've been swimming and playing games like crazy. We bought a wind chime kit that we tried to put together for an hour today, but the top was just too flimsy to hold and we were pretty disappointed.

100% Natural

All our children, however many God chooses to bless us with, will be conceived naturally. He alone opens and closes the womb!

Psalm 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
